The following is from Dave Lally to provide travel information for events on May 15th (Friday) and May 18th (Monday) 2015.

London).
---

valid).

T/L=Thameslink Trains (local London) services -on NR (T/C valid within Gtr London).
---
T/C=Travelcard (a pre paid electronic card for use in Gtr London on ALL local
NR trains,
on Tube and on Red London Buses within the 9 T/C Zs) -remember ALWAYS to touch
in and out
on NR/Tube, only need to touch in on Buses. One can --on a pay-as-you-go T/C--
top it up by d/card or
c/card or by cash at any Tube/ (or in Gtr London)NR Stn. (If you only either
touch in or only touch out
on NR/Tube, you'll be charged the MAXIMUM fare!) As well as a pay-as-you-go
version, on any T/C you
already have or have bought, you can also add a 1-day fare for Z1+2, or any
extra Zs (up to Z6).
If you have a F/P, all travel for you (London Red Bus, Tube, NR in Gtr London)
is free -also on Mon, journies (b) and
(c). If you have a B/P, bus journies (only) on Fri and on Monday are free.
You can also now use --instead of a T/C with the same fares/conditions and
Zs-- UK issued d/cards and
c/cards. Details: tfl.gov/uk/contactless.
Overseas issued d/cards or c/cards: see tfl.gov.uk/contactless-payment-card
(remember the fare will be charged in UK£ and yr card issuer will add
o/seas charges to that).
One now cannot buy tickets for just Red Buses-easily.
One may-if travelling from outside Gtr London--be able to buy a T/C at yr local
NR Stn (*) or at Heathrow/
(*)Gatwick / London City / (*)Stansted Airports. Check. (* one wont usually
--even if a T/C is available to be bought there--
be able to immmediately use it there). If coming into Gatwick, buy a NR rail
ticket and then use it on Tube etc on
arrival at NR Victoria or NR London Bridge or wherever. If from Stansted, buy
an NR tkt to Tottenham Hale and then
use the T/C on the Tube from there.
---
Tube=London Undergoround Stn (with Line/colour given)
---
VTEC=Virgin Trains East Coast (long-distance) services- on NR (T/C usually not
valid)
---
Z=T/C Zone -the more you Zs you travel on by NR/Tube, the more it costs (buses
have a fixed cost-irrespetive
of journey length). ]

is --from London-- Z6). (One can also get directly there (1) by T/L from north
of E+B and
also (2) (change at St Albans NR from MML) -both outside of T/C Zs). If coming
seperately to E+B NR Stn, look at the waiting room (s/bound) and the ceiling
inside the tkt office area before leaving the Stn.
If travelling seperately n/bound from Central London, make sure you get on
the correct T/L train (some dont stop at E+B!). In E+B we visit various location
scenes from "Girl...", incl Mops and Brooms pub and Magnum record
