THE UNMUTUAL PRISONER LOCAL GROUPS

"Local service only".
Number Six, "The Chimes of Big Ben."

For many years, various "Prisoner Local Groups" have been active across the UK. These are small informal meetings (usually in pubs) where fans can attend to socialise with other Prisoner enthusiasts who share their interests. None of the groups listed here require membership to any fan club or society, and are not controlled by any such committee. If you have an easy going outlook and don't want the narrow intensity of fans who take The Prisoner far too seriously then these are the meetings for you.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY

Are you a Prisoner fan based in the San Francisco Bay area? Would you like to communicate with other fans in your area with a view to forming a local group? If so, contact us and we can put you in touch with someone in your area who has contacted us and would like to start a group.

WEST DORSET

Are you a Prisoner fan based in the West Dorset area? Would you like to communicate with other fans in your area with a view to forming a local group? If so, contact us and we can put you in touch with someone in your area who has contacted us and would like to start a group.

ILLINOIS/CHICAGO

Are you a Prisoner fan based in the above area? Would you like to communicate with other fans in the area with a view to perhaps meeting up or forming a local group? If so, contact us and we can put you in touch with someone in your area who has contacted us and would like to start such a group.

LONDON

As from January 2007, the London Prisoner Group will meet at a new venue.

The meetings take place from 6.30/7.00pm until closing on the last Wednesday of each month (apart from December when there is no meeting) at The Duke of Sussex, Baylis Street (a short walk from Waterloo Station and The Old Vic). All are well come!

Nice, informal, friendly, and long standing social gathering.

If you'd like to go along to meet like-minded Prisoner fans, e-mail Dave Lally at b-c-n-u@another.com or click HERE and send an email.

LIVERPOOL

Though established as the Liverpool Group, they now meet over the Mersey in The Wirral. Regular attendee Ronnie Soo explains: The regular meeting is on the second Thursday of the month, now 'over the water' at the following watering hole:

Caernarvon Castle, Bidston Rd, Oxton, PRENTON, Wirral CH43 2JZ

We usually get there for around 9pm. Best to check with us if you are making a special trip: see the Penny
Farthing website (URL below) for contact e-mail addresses.
For a map use http://www.multimap.com and put the pub's post code in! You can also get directions from there if you input your own post code for starting point.

NB: As it's a pub it's very informal; none of us show up in piped blazers or anything!

NEWCASTLE

When the meetings are well attended we book either the Telwest arena or St. James Park, or if on the rare occassions it is only the three of us, it is the corner table at the Bridge Hotel by the High Level Bridge.
We do want contact from anybody round the country or by attending a meeting, or just drop us an email.
We normally meet on the first Tuesday of the month and if anybody is coming to Tyneside on business or pleasure, get in touch and there will be a welcome on the mat.
