McGUFFINS

On
17th May 2002, TV and film enthusiasts The McGuffins organised a special event
at the EMD Cinema in London to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Patrick McGoohan's
classic TV series 'The Prisoner'. Special guests included leading British
character actor Kenneth Griffith, stuntman Frank Maher and film librarian
and director Tony Sloman who all reminisced in depth about their time working
on the show. The author Robert Fairclough was also in attendance to discuss
his book 'The Prisoner - The Official Companion To The Classic TV Series'.
A video
is now available containing edited highlights of the evening along with bonus
footage of additional interviews with the guests which took place backstage
at the event. The video also offers a rare chance to see the original documentary
'Portmeirion - The Place and Its Meaning' which was screened on the night.
