Issue
2 of The Prisoner: The Official Fact File, the latest issue of the new official
magazine and DVD partwork from Deagostini, was released nationwide in the
UK on January 4th. As well as the latest issue of the colour magazine and
a high-quality DVD of the episode "The Chimes of Big Ben", purchasers
of the magazine also receive a "Danger Man" DVD, starring Patrick
McGoohan.
The DVD, entitled "Koroshi", is an abridged movie-length version of the 2 colour Danger Man episodes from 1966, "Koroshi" and "Shinda Shima". This is the only time these episodes have been released in this format on DVD and buyers were treated to another surprise when it came to light that it also has a couple of "variant" scenes. For example, the Burt Kwouk character attacks someone with a sword in the "movie" version, whilst remaining friendly in the "episode" version. A truly unique item.
