PRISONER NOVEL ON PRE-ORDER

Further to The Unmutual Website's initial announcement in 2003, we are delighted to announce that "The Prisoner's Dilemma", the first of a new set of novels based on "The Prisoner", is now available for pre-order at the Powys Media website, at http://www.powysmedia.com.

Written by award-winning SF author Jonathan Blum and comedy writer Rupert Booth, with a foreward by Babylon 5's J. Michael Straczynski, the novel is set shortly before the episode "Fall Out" and is a "complex and paranoid tale of murder in the Village"!

The long-awaited book is being launched in the US in March, and although initially only available to the UK and Australia by import in specialist shops or through the Powys website, full overseas distribution rights should follow and UK-based online Prisoner store PrizBiz will be providing copies to UK-based Prisoner fans from mid-March 2005.

The 327-page book, very reasonably priced at $14.99 for the US, and £9.99 for the UK, is being launched to members of the public at The Prisoner Shop in Portmeirion in March, with similar sessions planned for other parts of the UK the same month (more news will be announced here shortly). Upcoming books in the series of six will be written by acclaimed "Doctor Who" novelist Lance Parkin, and Nebula Award recipient Robert Sheckley.

Further information on the books, including excerpts from "The Prisoner's Dilemma", can be found at the Powys Website, and a full and exclusive review can be seen in our reviews section. Click HERE to read an exclusive Unmutual web-interview with the authors.

With thanks to Jon Blum, Rupert Booth and Powys Media for the information and their continued support, including a mention for The Unmutual Website in the book itself. Cover artist Allan Bednar. Cover design Rob Fairclough.
