EVERYMAN - A CELEBRATION OF PATRICK MCGOOHAN AND THE PRISONER - BOOK AND CD LAUNCH

BOOK AND CD LAUNCH TO MARK 50 YEARS OF ‘THE PRISONER’ TV SERIES

Indie publishers, Invisible Six, will host a launch for their new book and audio CD; EVERYMAN: A Celebration of Patrick McGoohan & The Prisoner. It'll take place 6-8pm on Saturday 20th May, at Sandbar, Grosvenor St, central Manchester. Entry is free.

2017 sees the 50th anniversary of The Prisoner TV series, with celebratory events across the globe. The show was first screened on ITV in 1967 and became an instant cult classic. An action adventure series that broke the mould, and continues to fascinate. Starring Patrick McGoohan, the series was ground-breaking, profound, psychedelic, and gained an international following.

Brian Gorman’s new book, ‘EVERYMAN: A Celebration of Patrick McGoohan & The Prisoner’ is a graphic novel adaptation of his highly-acclaimed one man stage play, which recently featured at the annual Prisoner fan convention at Portmeirion. In conjunction with the book launch, an audio play adaptation on CD has been produced by Giles Bastow for All Roads Meet, with Quoit Media, and copies will be on sale at the launch party. Brian Gorman will be signing copies of 'EVERYMAN', as well as his previous graphic novel, 'BORDERLINERS: True Realities'. He will also be reading extracts from the book, taking part in a Q & A session, and there will be an audio-visual display showcasing Brian's artwork, accompanied by excerpts from the CD. Original art will be on view, with limited edition prints for sale.

Brian is the writer of the hugely popular stage play 'NEW DAWN FADES: A Play About Joy Division & Manchester', and is currently working on a new one man play; 'ONE MAN BOND: Every James Bond Film In 60 Minutes'. He will also be appearing as a guest at Oldham Comic Con on Saturday 6th May, and giving a talk on 'Everyman'.

Invisible Six' managing Director, SM Worsey, and Producer/Director Giles Bastow, will also be on hand to discuss the company's current and future projects.
