ELSTREE CALLING
News
has reached The Unmutual that the Elstree Film & TV Heritage Group are
organising an Elstree Film Festival during 13th-16th June 2006. It's a short
run of four films ("Star Wars", "Night of the Demon",
"Ice Cold in Alex", and "2001"), all of which were made
at Elstree.
Elstree, of course, has strong "Prisoner" connections (2001 was
being filmed at the same time, for instance) and the festival is attracting
several familiar names. "Demon" is to be introduced by Peggy Cummins
(who starred opposite Patrick McGoohan in "Hell Drivers"), and "Ice
Cold" by Sylvia Syms ("Danger Man - It's up to the Lady" and
"The Quare Fellow", both opposite McGoohan).
