SOUND FAMILIAR?
Following
soon after news of a possible new "Prisoner" series, news has reached
us that writer Christopher McQuarrie (who won an Oscar for "The Usual
Suspects" (left)) is working on an interesting new series for Fox Television.
According to a Sci-fi Channel press-release; "'Persons Unknown' is a
surreal mind-game of a series centering on a group of strangers who awaken
in a deserted town with no memory of how they arrived, only to realize that
there is no escape. Watched by omnipresent security cameras, their every attempt
at leaving the town's borders is thwarted by mysterious forces."
Certainly sounds like a familiar formula, especially given that McQuarrie once wrote a "Prisoner" movie script.
