FREE FOR FORD

This Summer's "Ford Magazine" (a free magazine sent out to all Ford car owners) is running a feature entitled 'Exotica Britannica' (pictured left) about various visitor attractions, such as Indian Palaces and Italianate villages, which are only a short drive away.

Readers of The Unmutual may be interested to know that Portmeirion is featured (listed as Britain's answer to Portofino"). A very brief history of the site, and its architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, is included, along with details of how to book accommodation and the delights that await those who stay for dinner in the main hotel.

"The Prisoner" also gets a mention, coupled with a mention for fans holding Conventions at the site. Interestingly, the photograph used of Portmeirion dates back from the mid-1980s (when the Dome was Green, and the frontage was stripped prior to re-ainting).
