PORTMEIRION BOOK LAUNCH

Back in May of this year (story HERE), it was announced that a new Portmeirion Book was due to be published in October 2006, and details have now been announced regarding the launch of the keenly-awaited tome.

Co-authored by Jan Morris, Alwyn W Turner, Mark Eastment, and Stephen Lacey, "Portmeirion", covering not only the history of the village and gardens, but also Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and Portmeirion pottery, each with its own dedicated section, was launched at Portmeirion on 12th October (review HERE).

The day also included a preview screening of a new BBC documentary on the village, and the official opening of "Flora", a new woodland gazebo designed by Susan Williams-Ellis.

The publishers' website at http://www.antique-acc.com has more details on the book, as does a scan HERE. Pictured below is the flyer for the book (click on it to see the larger image). With a retail price of £25, readers can get it cut-price at Tesco with free delivery!
