CHECKMATE FOOTAGE UNEARTHED
The
Unmutual Website has done it again! Following on from the recent news that
unseen "Arrival" footage had been found thanks to the PM2007,
event taking place, during the same week further investigations by event organisers
unearthed a further piece of amazing behind-the-scenes footage.
For the first time, footage has been found of the making of "Checkmate"!
The footage centres around the filming of the famous chess game sequence, with close ups of McGoohan, Ronald Radd, George Colouris, Rosalie Crutchley and Director Don Chaffey in the thick of the action. Also included are several takes of scenes seen in the final episode, including the escape committee meeting at the stone boat, and the Queen following Number Six.
