GEOFF FOOT R.I.P.

It is with much regret that TUW informs readers that Geoffrey Foot, who was the Film Editor for the first four episodes of "The Prisoner" to be filmed (as well as the opening sequence to the series) and therefore shaped a lot of the look of the series, passed away in September 2010. He was 95.

As well for his work on the series, he will also be fondly remembered for his work on several Disney features and David Lean films, as well as popular series such as the "Confessions" films of the 1970s.

A fitting and moving obituary, written by "Prisoner" librarian Tony Sloman, can be read HERE. TUW extends its sincerest sympathies to all who knew him.

With thanks to Dave Lally for this news item.
