BUSTED

Portmeirion is now home to a fitting tribute to The Prisoner's 50th anniversary, and to Patrick McGoohan.

A bronze bust of McGoohan has been erected in the old toll booth (underneath Toll House cottage), designed by French Sculptor Tiziano.

This follows the erection in the village of a permanant chessboard on the chess lawn (below), built not only to celebrate the 50th anniversary, but to solve the problem if flooding of the lawn during wet weather.
