HILARY DWYER R.I.P.

TUW is sad to announce, via her great friend the actor Ian Ogilvy, that Hilary Dwyer, who so memorably played the part of Number 73 in the episode 'Hammer into Anvil' has died, at the age of only 74, due to COVID-19.

She is probably best remembered for her lead role in the classic horror movie 'Witchfinder General', co-starring Ogilvy and horror legend Vincent Price.

Also fondly remembered for her roles in other TV series such as 'The Avengers' and 'Special Branch', her last role was in the Gerry Anderson's 'Space 1999' series in the mid 70s, before she moved into a successful producing career (under the name Hilary Heath), producing films such as 'Nil by Mouth', as well as running an animal sanctuary for many years in Barbados (now run by her daughter).

TUW would like to extend its sincerest sympathies to Hilary's family and friends. She was a superb actress, and a wonderful person. RIP.

With thanks to Ian Ogilvy and Stephen Pasqua for this news item. Image (c) ITV.
