SIMON WELLS R.I.P.

The Unmutual Website is sad to report that author, songwriter, and much-loved 'Prisoner' fan and expert Simon Wells has passed away.

A familar face at 'Prisoner' events dating back to the 1980s, Simon was a great friend to many and a supremely talented man (check out his songs and poems on youtube, and book stores for his amazing books on films, TV, The Beatles, and 'Quadrophenia').

A regular contributor to Network DVD and BluRay releases, Simon wrote the 2007 'The Prisoner' documentary 'Don't Knock Yourself Out', as well as sleeve notes and booklets on various series, such as 'Catweazle'.

Rick Davy of TUW writes; "Simon will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A true gentleman, with bundles of talent, he was a gentle kind soul, generous to the core (every charity event I ever organised he offered up valuable raffle prizes for free) and he was loved by all who met him. He was one of the first 'Prisoner' people I met back in the mid-1980s, and we have been great friends ever since. He was a one-off, and I am stunned at the news of his passing."
