PREMIERE PATRICK

The October-November issue of the French cinema and TV magazine 'Premiere' will be of interest to fans of the Patrick McGoohan series 'Danger Man', as well as French-speaking fans of the secret agent genre generally.

As well as being a James Bond special, several pages are dedicated to an excellent feature by David Fakrikian on the McGoohan series, entitled 'Destination Danger' (which was the title which 'Danger Man' went under in France).

The piece includes several photographs as well, of course, discussion regarding McGoohan having famously turned down the role of Bond, and the evolution of the 'Danger Man' character John Drake following the decision to not base the character on the 007 character created by Ian Fleming (which was the original intention).

With thanks to David Fakrikian for this news item.
