Danger Man - Colony Three Location Tour

The incomparable Dave Lally takes attendees on a tour of sites from the Prisoneresque 'Danger Man' episode 'Colony Three'. We meet close to Platform 9 at Kings Cross Main Line Station. We head off to Hatfield (scheduled dep 1205/platform 10) and then (scheduled arrival 1227) by local bus to South Hatfield Shopping Centre (Hamden New Town). Pub lunch (seen in episode) then back to London (subject to time) visit to the remains of the Camera Shop (Do Not Forsake). Do NOT buy any tickets in advance (to Hatfield) other than to K/X (and if you have Oyster/Freedom passes etc, bring them with you). Before departure we will bulk buy the appropriate return tickets for all (and the extra cost is spread over everyone applicable).

MGM Borehamwood Sites Location Tour

Members of the "MGM Borehamwood Memories" Facebook group will meet up in Elstree for their yearly look around the former site of the MGM studios (where The Prisoner was largely filmed).

Whilst the studios and sites have been demolished, it's a fascinating look around what now stands on the "Hollywood of Britain" and again the tour will be headed by MGM expert Kieran McAleer. Meet time is 1.00pm at the Toby Carvery (Travelodge) in Studio Way, Borehamwood.

Prior to this, Dave Lally will be operating a quick additional tour of some locations, meeting at Elstree and Borehamwood station at 11.00am.

This tour is free to attend, no membership to any organisation is required.

Sunday 4th September 2016 (morning)
"Danger Man" London locations walkabout tour

Meeting at Victoria British Rail Station (outside Burger King near to Platforms 1-7) at 10.45am. Have a Travelcard valid for at least Zones 1 and 2, and the tour visits
(1) Danger Man opening location site ("every government has its secret service branch...."),
(2) Danger Man - home of John Drake.
(3) Several other locations from the 'Danger Man' episodes 'Fair Exchange' and 'Don't Nail Him Yet'.
5 ) Several other buildings with Prisoner, Portmeirion, and Cult TV connections (such as Simon Templar's home from 'Return of the Saint').
Event is free to attend other than your travelcard. After a stop for lunch it's then on to.......

Sunday 4th September 2016 (afternoon)
"The Prisoner" London locations walkabout tour

The 2nd of 2016's twice-yearly London locations walking tours. Commences at 2.00pm underneath Marble Arch and continues on foot for approx 3.5 miles taking in over 20 different "Prisoner" locations, culminating in Number Six's London home. Free to attend. Optional visit to pizza or similar restaurant for tea then follows at approx 5.30pm. Event goes ahead regardless of weather so come prepared. Any queries, click HERE and send an email. We meet at Waterloo Main Line Rail Stn (outside Foyles Bookshop which is on the western of the concourse). We join the 1st train to Teddington after 1215 (scheduled dep 1227/platform 4, scheduled arr 1305). Bring own picnic food, blanket, refuse sack etc.

None of the above tour events requires any fee to attend unless stated (other than your own pay-as-you-go expenses such as travel or food), nor membership of any group or club.
